NSS-9
The NSS-9, orbiting at 177°W, is an all C-band satellite, consisting of 3 beams with 28 active C-band transponders. Its 3 beams can be interconnected on a transponder-by-transponder basis, providing a global beam with coverage of the entire earth visible from 177°W. This includes a Western Hemi beam covering Australia, Indonesia, the Philippines, Japan, China, Korea, and the Pacific Islands, as well as an East Hemi beam providing coverage and connectivity to the U.S., Hawaii, and Polynesia.
