TELEPORT > HPT Infrastructure

The Hawaii Pacific Teleport is located on the south west shore of the island of Oahu, Hawaii, from where it operates incoming circuits traveling over trans-oceanic submarine fiber supplied by Southern Cross, and uplinks them to “deep reach” satellites orbiting over Asia.

HPT has installed an onsite OC-48 at the teleport. This conduit allows HPT to provide high-speed, multi-homed connections via trans-Pacific fiber to Tier 1 US Internet backbone networks, such as Qwest, Sprint, AT&T, and local exchange backbones such as HIX and PAIX. As a result of this onsite infrastructure, HPT is well positioned to co-locate circuit connectivity to HPT at any major points-of-presence in order to accommodate HPT customers and provisioning partners.

HPT’s 30,000 square foot teleport facility operates on a 150kva uninterruptible power supply with 150kva diesel generator backups, ensuring redundant 24x7 power availability.
