Vince Waterson, Vice President of Business Development
Vince Waterson is an Irish national who has spent over 30 years in the telecommunications industry in Europe, North America and Asia. His experience includes terrestrial wireless and satellite network implementation, satellite data broadcasting network design, and satellite network system integration. In the late eighties he invented FAXCAST, the first satellite group 3 facsimile broadcasting system, and ten years later the Information Television Channel, which was the first satellite delivered EPG for cable tv head-ends in Asia.
Vince was VP of business development at Subic Bay Satellite Systems, Inc, Philippines, where he was part of the team which established the first Asian Satellite delivered Internet service in 1997 on the Asiasat2 satellite. He recently initiated a series of proof of concept trials in Australia and Hawaii to demonstrate the viability of using a Satellite DAMA platform for corporate quality dial-up videoconferencing.
Vince now serves as VP of business development at Hawaii Pacific Teleport, where his contacts and knowledge of the Asia/Pacific satellite market has contributed to the Teleport winning the WTA Teleport Developer of the Year 2003 award.
